Our Story

Two Horizons, One Family
Cowgirl Surf was started by Sloan Carver, a mother, wife, and lifelong lover of two very different horizons. Half her heart belongs to Heber Valley, Utah, where she and her husband Colt are raising their daughter Hattie among horses, split-rail fences, and wide golden pastures. The other half belongs to the Southern California coast, where the family spends every free morning chasing waves, and to Hawaii, where they return each year for long, slow trips as a family.
Ranch Life in Heber Valley
Sloan grew up on horseback, and that hasn't changed. Most mornings start early, out on the ranch with Hattie beside her, checking fences and turning horses out to pasture while the sun comes up over the Wasatch Range. It's a slower, quieter kind of luxury, one built on wide-open land, worn leather, and family time. This is the world that shapes our fabrics, our colors, and our crest, more than any single style trend.

Surf Mornings on the SoCal Coast
The rest of the year, home is wherever the swell is good. Sloan learned to surf long before she learned to run a business, and these days she's just as likely to be found paddling out at first light with Hattie as she is packing orders. The salt, the wind, and the long drive down the coast with boards on the roof, that's the other half of Cowgirl Surf's DNA: relaxed, sun-worn, unbothered.

Family Trips to Hawaii
Once a year, the whole family, Sloan, Colt, and Hattie, packs up for Hawaii. It's tradition by now: slow mornings, warm water, and long walks on the sand as the sun goes down. It's where the ranch and the coast quietly meet, a reminder that this brand was never about picking one horizon over the other. Cowgirl Surf is for anyone living between two worlds, and loving both.

Made for Both of Her Worlds
Every piece we make is designed the way Sloan lives: simple enough for the ranch, good enough for the beach, and built to actually last. No trend pieces, no throwaway prints, just quiet, well-made clothing for women moving between two horizons of their own.
